The short answer: fall is Italy’s strongest season for food and wine events, with the Alba White Truffle Fair (October 10 to December 6, 2026), the Rome Film Festival and Eurochocolate in Perugia. Winter brings Christmas markets and the Venice Carnival (January 23 to February 9, 2027), and summer the Palio di Siena and the opera season at the Arena di Verona. Dates change every year, so check each event guide before you book.
