Events in Italy in November 2026: Festivals, Fairs and Holidays
What's on in Italy in November 2026: the Alba White Truffle Fair, Lucca Comics & Games, Artissima, All Saints' Day, St. Martin's Day, the Festa della Salute in Venice and the Torino Film Festival.

Updated September 2026. Dates checked on each event’s official website or official tourism source; see the note at the end.
November is one of the quieter months to travel in Italy, and one of the best for food: it is truffle season in Piedmont, the time of the new wine, and the start of the olive harvest. The cities keep a full calendar too, from a comics festival inside Lucca’s walls to contemporary art in Turin and a votive bridge across the Grand Canal in Venice. These are the events worth planning around in November 2026.

Alba White Truffle Fair
The International Alba White Truffle Fair runs from October 10 to December 6, 2026, and November is the heart of it. The World Truffle Market is the center of the fair, with cooking shows and tastings around it. Our guide to the Alba White Truffle Fair 2026 covers dates, tickets and where to stay.
Alba sits in the Langhe, the wine hills of Barolo and Barbaresco. If you are coming from Milan, compare the Barolo wine tours, one of which includes free time in Alba; from Turin, pair the fair with a Turin food tour.
Lucca Comics & Games
The comics, games and pop-culture festival takes over the walled city of Lucca from October 28 to November 1, 2026, for its 60th anniversary edition, themed “Legacy”. Daily tickets range from €26.50 to €34.50 on the official site. See our guide to Lucca Comics & Games 2026 for tickets and planning.
Artissima, Turin
Artissima, Turin’s international contemporary art fair, runs from October 30 to November 1, 2026, at the Oval Torino, with 183 galleries from 35 countries announced for its 33rd edition. It is a good reason to spend a weekend in Turin; the Turin food tours fit neatly around a morning at the fair.
All Saints’ Day, November 1
All Saints’ Day is a national public holiday, and in 2026 it falls on a Sunday. Expect churches to hold special masses and many Italians to travel for the long weekend, so book trains and rooms early. In Rome it is a good moment for the city’s quieter churches and early Christian sites; start with the Rome travel guide.
St. Martin’s Day and the new wine, November 11
St. Martin’s Day, November 11, is traditionally when the new wine is first opened, and an Italian saying goes “a San Martino ogni mosto diventa vino”: by St. Martin’s, every must becomes wine. Towns and villages mark it with local festivals and new-wine tastings. If you want wine country in November, compare the Chianti wine tour from Florence and the Prosecco hills wine tours from Venice.
Festa della Madonna della Salute, Venice, November 21
Every November 21, Venetians cross the Grand Canal on a temporary votive bridge of boats to the basilica of Santa Maria della Salute, in thanks for the end of the plague of 1630. In 2026 it falls on a Saturday. It is one of the city’s own festivals, not a show for visitors, which is exactly why it is worth seeing. Plan the rest of your stay with the Venice travel guide.
Torino Film Festival
The 44th Torino Film Festival runs from November 24 to December 2, 2026, with its opening at the Teatro Regio and screenings across the city, including the Cinema Massimo. It closes the month in Turin, which by then is already preparing for its Christmas season.

Practical tips for November
- Book the long weekend early: November 1 is a public holiday, and trains and hotels fill up around it.
- Pack for rain: November is one of the wetter months, and days are short.
- Eat seasonally: truffles in Piedmont, new wine and chestnuts across the country, and the first new olive oil.
- Expect fewer crowds at major museums than in the summer months.
