Lucca Comics & Games 2026 runs from October 28 to November 1, 2026, inside the walls of Lucca, in Tuscany. This year is the festival’s 60th anniversary, and its theme is “Legacy”, with the official poster by Claudio Castellini. For five days the historic center becomes the festival ground: comics, board and role-playing games, cinema, animation and cosplay, spread across the streets, squares and pavilions of the old town.

• Entry: you need both a valid ticket and its bracelet.
• Skip the welcome desk: included with three-, four- and five-day passes; €9.99 extra with daily and two-day tickets, only if bought before 9 am on October 16.

What to expect

The whole old town becomes the festival

Lucca Comics & Games does not happen in a convention center. The festival spreads through the historic center, inside the Renaissance walls, with pavilions, exhibitions and events in squares and palaces. Expect crowds on the narrow streets, especially at the weekend.

Comics, games and guests

The festival covers comics, manga, board games, role-playing games, video games, cinema and animation. The guests announced on the official site for 2026 include Go Nagai, Frank Miller, Paru Itagaki and Yoko Kanno. Check the official program for the schedule of each day.

Cosplay

Cosplay is part of the festival’s identity: many visitors come in costume, and the old town becomes a backdrop for characters from comics, anime, games and film.
