This page explains which cookies and similar technologies italy2love.com uses. It is published by ALPACA DIGITALE SRLS, Via Don Luigi Catelli 18, 03024 Ceprano (FR), Italy, VAT IT03198540605. For how we handle personal data in general, see our Privacy Policy.
1. The short version
Italy2Love uses technical cookies that the website needs to work. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) and advertising cookies (the Meta Pixel). These are not set until you accept them in our cookie banner, and refusing is as easy as accepting.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the consent settings on the website. Refusing does not limit your access to any of our guides.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in a comparable way. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.
3. Technical cookies we use
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | italy2love.com | Keeps a technical session, only on pages with features that need one | Until you close your browser |
| woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_* | italy2love.com | Remember the contents of the cart, only if you use the cart feature | Session, up to 2 days |
| wordpress_*, wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-* | italy2love.com | Keep site staff signed in. Not set for regular visitors | Session, up to 1 year |
| cmplz_* (for example cmplz_banner-status, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_marketing) | italy2love.com | Remember the choices you made in the cookie banner | Up to 1 year |
We also use your browser’s storage for two small features, without any consent-based tracking: our sign-up box remembers that you closed it (i2l_pp_snooze, for 2 days) or that you already signed up (i2l_pp_done), and our trip planner keeps your answers while you browse (i2l_th_v1, deleted when you close the tab).
4. Cookies we use only with your consent
These cookies are set only after you accept the matching category in our cookie banner. If you decline, the scripts that set them are not loaded.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics (statistics) | Distinguish visitors and sessions so we can measure how our pages are used | Up to 2 years |
| _clck, _clsk, CLID, MUID | Microsoft Clarity (statistics) | Group the pages you view into a session and measure how pages are used, including masked session replays | From 1 day (_clsk) up to 1 year |
| _fbp, _fbc | Meta Pixel (marketing) | Measure the results of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram | Up to 90 days |
| _gcl_au | Google (marketing) | Link visits to Google advertising, where used | Up to 90 days |
| pys_*, last_pysTrafficSource, last_pys_landing_page | PixelYourSite, our tag manager (marketing) | Pass the traffic source, landing page and session information to Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel | From the browser session up to 7 days |
5. Audience measurement without cookies
We count visits with Metricool, provided by Metricool Software, S.L. (Madrid, Spain). Its tracker does not set cookies and does not store any identifier on your device: when a page loads, your browser sends Metricool the page address and the page you came from, together with the technical information included in every web request. We use the results only as aggregate statistics. More details are in our Privacy Policy.
6. Links to other websites
Our pages link to other websites, including partners such as Viator. Those websites set their own cookies only after you leave Italy2Love, and their own cookie policies apply. Following a link to a social network or video platform works the same way: nothing from those platforms is embedded in our pages.
7. How to manage cookies
You can change your consent choices at any time from the consent settings on the website. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking technical cookies may stop some features, such as the cart, from working properly. The rest of the website stays available.
