Alba, the longest of the truffle festivals in Italy
Alba’s fair is the longest of the four: its 96th edition runs from October 10 to December 6, 2026, according to the fair’s official site. However, we didn’t confirm hours or tickets on that site, so check them before you go. For tickets, timings and truffle hunts, read our guide to the Alba White Truffle Fair.
San Miniato: the National White Truffle Market
Among the truffle festivals in Italy, San Miniato, a hill town between Florence and Pisa, holds its white truffle market on the last three weekends of November. In 2026 that means November 14–15, 21–22 and 28–29, according to Visit Tuscany and italia.it. The organizer, the Fondazione San Miniato Promozione, hadn’t posted the 2026 dates on its own site when we checked, so confirm them there before you travel.
The market spreads through the old town, with more than 150 stands over about a kilometer. Truffle sellers gather at the top of the hill, below the tower of Frederick II, and the Officina del Tartufo hosts cooking shows, talks and wine tastings with local winemakers. San Miniato also holds a record: in 1954, a white truffle of 2.52 kg (about 5.5 lb) was found nearby, as italia.it recounts.
However, we couldn’t confirm the opening hours or whether entry is free, so check before you go.

Acqualagna: the International White Truffle Fair
Acqualagna, in the Marche, holds a fair that is now called “International” rather than “National”. The 61st edition runs on October 25 and 31 and November 1, 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2026, according to the town’s official fair site. Many events on the program are free or need a booking, but the site doesn’t state whether the fair itself charges entry.
Città di Castello: the National White Truffle Show
In Umbria, Città di Castello hosts the 46th Salone Nazionale del Tartufo Bianco Pregiato over three weekends: October 31 – November 1, November 7–8 and November 14–15, 2026, according to Umbria Tourism. It’s an easy add-on to a trip through Umbria. In the same weeks, the region’s Frantoi Aperti olive oil festival opens the local mills.
