Rovereto Christmas Market 2026: Dates, Hours and What’s New

The Rovereto Christmas market, now called Rintocchi di Luce, Natale a Rovereto, runs from November 20, 2026 to January 6, 2027 in the streets and squares of the old town. Travelers who remember the old Natale dei Popoli will find a new theme, because the event now ties Christmas to peace and to the chimes of the Bell of the Fallen, the city’s peace bell.

• Dates: November 20, 2026 (huts open at 5:30 p.m.) to January 6, 2027.
• Hours: every day 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Closed: December 25.
• Special days: December 31 closes at 5:30 p.m.; January 1 opens at noon.
• By train: Rovereto is on the Brenner line, about 35 minutes to 1 hour from Verona.

What is on at Rintocchi di Luce

Here is what the 2026 program lists so far (checked October 2026):

• Christmas Market at Palazzo Todeschi: craft and design by chosen makers, in an old palace in town.
• Solidarity Island: a space for local groups and charities.
• Children’s Village: creative workshops and activities for kids.
• The little train and the ice rink, both confirmed by the organizers for 2026. Their location and hours were not published when we checked.

In addition, there will be street shows and food and wine stalls. The full program was not out yet in October. For example, last season the huts stood along Via Roma and Via Tartarotti. However, the 2026 layout had not been announced when we checked.

Give yourself time for the town as well. The MART, the town’s modern art museum under a glass dome, makes a warm stop on a cold afternoon, so check its opening days before you go.

How to get to the Rovereto Christmas market by train

Rovereto station is on the Bologna to Brenner line, and the tourist office is right in front of it, in Piazzale Orsi.

• From Verona: about 35 minutes to 1 hour.
• From Trento: about 12 to 21 minutes.
• From Bolzano: about 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes.

These journey times come from rail booking sites and unofficial timetable summaries, not from Trenitalia. The timetable changes in mid-December, so confirm your train on Trenitalia before you travel. Taxis also wait at the station, and the city’s weekly Tuesday market moves out of the center from November 17, 2026 to January 12, 2027 to make room for the Christmas event.
