Is there a train from Bergamo airport to Milan?
Not yet. For now, the airport tells passengers to take the ATB bus to Bergamo train station and change there. However, in February 2026 RFI said the works had fallen behind schedule, so don’t count on it for a trip soon.
Direct buses from Bergamo airport to Milano Centrale
The airport lists four companies with coaches to Milano Centrale. Autostradale and Flibco use stops 2 to 5 outside Arrivals. Most fares are “from” prices or promotions, so compare them for your travel date.
- Autostradale: a bus every 30 minutes, taking 50 to 60 minutes to Piazza Luigi di Savoia, next to Centrale. Online fares start at €9 one way as a limited-time promotion, a return costs €18 and children aged 2 to 12 pay €5. Promotional fares don’t apply if you buy at the stop. Buses leave the airport from 4:25 am to 12:55 am.
- Flibco: a bus every 30 minutes, about 50 minutes, from stalls 2 to 5. Fares start at €8.50 one way online when you book ahead, and a return costs €15.30. You can also buy from the driver if seats are left.
- Terravision: a direct coach of about 50 minutes, with adult fares from €5 one way and €10 return. Children up to 4 ride free.
- Orioshuttle: about every 30 minutes, every day, with fares from €8. You buy tickets on its website.
Autostradale and Orioshuttle quote 50 to 60 minutes, depending on traffic. Check the departure times for your date when you book.
Bergamo airport to Bergamo city and Città Alta
If your trip starts in Bergamo, the ATB Airport Bus is the easy choice. It runs every day, and a bus leaves every 20 minutes. It stops at the airport, Bergamo train station, Porta Nuova and Colle Aperto in Città Alta, and it reaches the station in about 10 minutes. However, the ATB pages we read don’t list the first and last buses, so check them before an early or late flight.
On ATB’s fare page, the ride costs a three-zone ticket at €3, valid for 90 minutes. For longer stays, a 24-hour ticket for the whole network costs €8.50, airport included. You can also tap a contactless card on the green validators on board, but that fare costs €3.50 for 120 minutes, with a daily cap of €8.50. Validate your ticket every time you get on. Note that ATB dates these fares to 2023, so check them again before you travel.

From Bergamo station, Trenord regional trains run to Milan. We couldn’t confirm their times or fares, so check Trenord before you go. This route makes sense if you want to see Bergamo first.
Taxis and private transfers
If you prefer a taxi, the rank is at the Arrivals exit, by door 1. For Milan, Regione Lombardia sets a fixed fare of €128 between Orio al Serio and any address in the city, in force since July 1, 2024 and confirmed in August 2026. For Bergamo itself, the airport doesn’t publish fares, and Radio Taxi Bergamo gives only indicative examples: about €17 to the station and about €25 to Città Alta. Those aren’t fixed fares, so ask before you set off.

A private transfer also gives you a set price, and you book it before you fly. For instance, you can book a private transfer from Bergamo airport to Milan or a seat on a shuttle bus ahead.

Which option should you choose?
- Heading straight to central Milan: a direct bus to Milano Centrale.
- Staying in Bergamo: the ATB Airport Bus to the station or Città Alta.
- Landing very late: Autostradale’s last bus leaves the airport at 12:55 am. Otherwise, book a transfer.
- Three passengers with bags: compare a private transfer with three coach tickets.
